0:00 to 0:30: Jason at Brian's place

After the ESRB card, Jason is on the roof of a wooden house by the water. He says he is fixing leaks. A shirtless man below teases him, and Jason calls him Brian. Brian says he has properties with paying tenants and tells Jason to go and get his checks.

This matches Rockstar's profile of Brian Heder, which says Brian lets Jason live rent-free at one of his properties if he helps with local shakedowns. A woman calls out "Love you, Jason" as he leaves. She is shown, not named.

Rockstar's profile says Jason works in the Keys. The trailer does not name this spot, so the house and the water around it are shown, not named.

0:30 to 0:50: a day around the state

Quick cuts follow. A plane flies low over a busy highway with green road signs. People lift weights at an outdoor gym on the beach. A car rolls past a street of murals at night. Jason walks out of a shop. None of these places are named in the trailer: all shown, not named.

0:50 to 1:10: picking up Lucia

Jason stands at a check-in window. He says he is there for Lucia Caminos, who is supposed to be getting out, and gives his own name: Jason Duval. Then Lucia walks out past a chain-link fence, and Jason is waiting by his car.

Rockstar's profile says fighting for her family landed Lucia in the Leonida Penitentiary, and that she is fresh out of prison. The building in the trailer is shown, not named.

1:10 to 1:30: new beginnings

A "Rockstar Games presents" title appears over the two of them together. A masked figure with a gun shouts at people to put their hands up. Someone raises a toast to new beginnings. There is a pier at sunset, and a man in a bar rings a bell and calls for shots. Who is behind the mask is not shown.

1:30 to 2:00: who you know

One line here is also on Rockstar's site, in Lucia's section of Only in Leonida: "The only thing that matters is who you know and what you got."

Around it: a party on a boat, where a woman in a gold dress stands at the bar. Three men in a dark room ask whether someone is a federal agent and say they have his name and address. A man wearing a badge says cops have to protect each other. All of these people are shown, not named.

Back at home, Jason tells Lucia the two of them have got this.

2:00 to 2:46: Vice City

A voice says "Vice City, baby". Rockstar's post for the trailer also opens with "Vice City, USA." A TV advert plays for Phil's Ammu-Nation, the one shop the trailer names out loud.

The rest is quick. A pickup at night, a busy club, a helicopter low over wetlands, a truck between downtown towers, and a man in a car asking for a hook-up. It ends on the skyline at sunset, then the VI logo and the May 26, 2026 end card. The wetlands, club and streets are shown, not named.

Not confirmed yet

  • Which named Leonida location each shot is from. Rockstar has not matched the shots to places.
  • The names of the people who are shown but not named.
  • Any detail from leaks, datamined files or fan theories. This page does not repeat them.

Wrap-up

Trailer 2 is mostly about Jason and Lucia getting together: his life at Brian's, picking her up when she gets out, and the deal they make to do it right. Rockstar has named only a few things in it. For the full cast, see the Jason and Lucia guide. For the current date, see the release date guide.
