GTA 6 Characters: Jason, Lucia and the Main Profiles Rockstar Has Published

The story in one paragraph

Rockstar's official summary says Jason and Lucia have always known the deck is stacked against them. When an easy score goes wrong, they end up on "the darkest side of the sunniest place in America", in the middle of a criminal conspiracy that stretches across the state of Leonida. Each has to rely on the other more than ever if they want to make it out alive. Leonida is the fictional state the game is set in, and Vice City is the city Rockstar's pages put front and centre.

Jason Duval

Rockstar describes Jason as someone who wants an easy life while things keep getting harder. He grew up around grifters and crooks. After time in the Army, where he tried to shake off a troubled youth, he ended up in the Keys doing what he knows best: working for local drug runners. Rockstar says it might be time for him to try something new. Meeting Lucia, in Rockstar's words, could be the best or worst thing to ever happen to him. Jason knows how he would like it to turn out, but right now it is hard to tell.

Lucia Caminos

Lucia's father taught her to fight as soon as she could walk, and life has been coming at her swinging ever since. Fighting for her family put her in the Leonida Penitentiary. Sheer luck got her out. Rockstar says she has learned her lesson and now plans to make only smart moves. More than anything she wants the good life her mom has dreamed of since their days in Liberty City, and instead of half-baked fantasies she is ready to take matters into her own hands. She is fresh out of prison, committed to her plan, and Rockstar says a life with Jason could be her way out.

The wider cast Rockstar has introduced

Cal Hampton

Jason's friend and a fellow associate of Brian's. Cal feels safest at home, listening in on Coast Guard communications with a few beers and some private browser tabs open. Rockstar says he is at the low tide of America and happy there. His friend Jason has bigger plans.

Brian Heder

A classic drug runner from the golden age of smuggling in the Keys. He still moves product through his boat yard with his third wife, Lori. Rockstar says he has been around long enough to let others do his dirty work. He lets Jason live rent-free at one of his properties, as long as Jason helps with local shakedowns and stops by for Lori's sangria once in a while.

Boobie Ike

A local Vice City legend, and he acts like one. Rockstar says he is one of the few people to turn his time on the streets into a legitimate empire across real estate, a strip club and a recording studio. He is all smiles until it is time to talk business. His biggest investment is a partnership with Dre'Quan Priest in Only Raw Records. They just need a hit.

Dre'Quan Priest

A hustler more than a gangster. He dealt on the streets to make ends meet, but breaking into music was always the goal. He has now signed Real Dimez, and Rockstar says his days of booking acts into Boobie's strip club may be numbered as he sets his sights on the Vice City music scene.

Real Dimez (Bae-Luxe and Roxy)

Friends since high school, Bae-Luxe and Roxy turned time spent shaking down local dealers into money through rap tracks and a constant social media presence. An early single with the local rapper DWNPLY took them to new heights. After five years and a lot of trouble they are signed to Only Raw Records, hoping lightning strikes twice.

Raul Bautista

A seasoned bank robber known for confidence, charm and cunning, always looking for talent willing to take the risks that bring the biggest rewards. Rockstar says his recklessness raises the stakes with every score, and sooner or later his crew will have to double down or pull out.

How the characters connect

The cast splits into two circles. In the Keys, Brian, Cal and Jason are tied together by smuggling and local shakedowns, and Jason is already looking for something better. In Vice City, Boobie, Dre'Quan and Real Dimez share one business, Only Raw Records, where the club money pays for the studio. Lucia and Raul sit outside both circles in Rockstar's descriptions, and Rockstar has not said how every one of these people meets. Treat any connection beyond what is written above as speculation.

Rockstar has also published Trailer 1, Trailer 2 and An Extended Look on its own site, and Trailer 2 is on the Rockstar Newswire. Everything on this page comes from those official pages, not from leaks or datamined files.
